I'm looking forward tonight to watching the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Olympics tonight with my children. My daughter, Julia, age 9, is taking German in school and she declared this morning that she will be cheering for any German-speaking countries!

We will be using some cool new Google tools to learn more about the Olympics. Launched today, we can learn more through a new iGoogle medal tracker gadget, videos on YouTube, and special maps. I love this partnering of tools with real-life events! Enjoy!
